#msdyn365bc 2023 Release Wave 2 On-Prem Released!

Hi Readers,

As Business Central 2023 Release Wave 2 On-Prem is Generally Available.

In this article We will understand What that means.

Business Central 2023 Release Wave 2 is released for 22 Countries and Worldwide Version. -

AT, AU, BE, CA, CH, CZ, DE, DK, ES, FI, FR, GB, IN, IS, IT, MX, NL, NO, NZ, RU, SE, US, W1

Following known issues will apply for new signups until the first hotfix rolls out:

Users may see a watermark: Users may see watermark (see attached example) about expired AG Grid license. No action on user side. Analysis mode is still functional even with the watermark. This will be fixed with the next patch.

Extension synchronization can fail when field names or ids overlap on table extensions.

If a tenant is upgraded that contains multiple table extensions for the same table, and these table extensions contain one or more fields that have overlapping names / ids, it may prevent synchronizing new extensions to the tenant after the upgrade.

The workaround is prior to the upgrade to remove any unused extensions containing table extensions with fields that overlap on either id or name with other table extensions for the same table. Removing these unused extensions can be done with Sync-NAVApp -Mode Clean. Be aware that this will remove the data for the extension, so only use it on extensions you are sure you no longer need and/or take a backup.
