How Do I - Add Running Total in #msdyn365bc reports?

Hi Readers,

Microsoft added that feature in few pages but it's a feature that will be great in a report.

In this article we will discuss about How to Add Running Totals in #msdyn365bc reports.

#reports #runningtotals #businesscentral #msdyn365bc.

To Achieve running total, we don't need to modify anything in the report dataset.

Pick any report which have a numeric field, and you can apply changes in the layout only.

With RDLC there are built in method, which we don't normally use.

To achieve running totals in a report we will use RunningValue method.

For an actual upgrade project, we will have to complete object merge using compare and Merge process. After the Merge Process, the next step is data migration. Let's discuss those steps. Direct Upgrade to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (on-Prem) is from following versions - 1. NAV 2015. 2. NAV 2016. 3. NAV 2017. 4. NAV 2018.
