Feature Details -

Accelerate repetitive data entry through a reliable and predictable editing experience. Never lose a keystroke when correcting data across cells or when filling out data column by column, but still benefit from business rules that validate your input.

Explanation -

Till Business Central 18, You as Partner Developer and Consultant would have heard about problems from customers about system slowness with Business Central Modern Client.

But as I say Most of the time, Microsoft Listens. With this version Microsoft have done a great improvements in Modern client related to Efficient typing for users.

Starting Business Central 19 -

  • Business Central web client no longer pauses while it processes the previously modified rows.
  • Lightweight and agile typing experience similar to working in Excel.
  • Pages continue to validate all entered fields and rows in sequence they were entered.
  • Using the F8 key to copy the value of the cell above now works more reliably due to data entry optimizations.
  • The F8 key now also supports copying a true or false Boolean value from the cell above.
  • Cells that require a value and display the mandatory indicator will now display the indicator on all rows.

Login to your Business Central and try entering Orders lines, General Pages or any other page that you mostly use to enter data as part of your job.

Hope you learn and will be able to use this feature with Business Central 19.
