#msdyn365bc 2021 Release Wave 2 - Fields Exposed in Base Application.

In this series we will discuss what's new in Business Central 2021 (Wave 2) a.k.a BC19.

This article we will discuss about - Add additional columns through personalization in various pages to gain more insight.

With this series we will understand what's new the product and learn it before it becomes available for customers.

Feature Details - 

Different businesses and users need different information to complete business processes. Personalization is a powerful tool that lets people tailor the information that pages contain by dragging fields or columns from a list to the page. Based on feedback from our community, we've added more fields and columns to choose from on several pages.

Explanation -

Based on Ideas from Community, Microsoft added fields in multiple pages to be used by Customers. Customers can now add below listed fields in pages via personalization.

** If you as a partner have added any of these fields without adding prefix in page extension then your Per Tenant extension will fail to deploy.

  • Get Receipt Lines page
    • Order No.
    • Vendor Order No.
    • Vendor Shipment No.
    • Vendor Item No.
    • Item Reference No.
  • Get Shipment Lines page
    • Order No.
    • External Document No. and 
    • Your Reference
  • Bank Accounts page
    • Balance at Date
    • Balance at Date (LCY)
  • Chart of Accounts and G/L Account Card pages
    • No. 2 
  • General Journals and Recurring General Journal pages
    • External Document No.
  • Sales, purchase, and archive documents
    • Unit Gross Weight
    • Unit Net Weight
    • Unit Volume and 
    • Units per Parcel
  • Purchase Quotes, Purchase Quote Archives, and Purchase Orders pages
    • Expected Receipt Date
    • Job No.
    • Job Task No.
    • Job Planning Line No.
  • Item Card page
    • Transfer Order Receipt 
    • Shipment Quantity
  • Sales, service, purchase drafts, and posted and archived document lines.
