Hi Readers, This is one of the common question that I keep on skipping for a while to write an article about how to export data in Business Central. The Process is similar but during the Upgrade or writing code we kind of used a function C/AL World CreateBookAndOpenExcel which is not supported with Business Central. The type or method 'CreateBookAndOpenExcel' cannot be used for 'Extension' development.AL(AL0296) In this article we will try to understand the whole export to excel process and find a replacement for CreateBookAndOpenExcel in SaaS World.

Hi Readers, In this article we will talk about one of the cool feature that is available with release of #msdyn365bc 2021 Release Wave 1 (a.k.a BC 18). AL Code was introduced from C/AL and with initial releases it was exactly same as C/AL Code. But with great community support and feedback to Microsoft, Microsoft is able to make it modern with new versions. Hi Readers, As Expected Microsoft have released #msdyn365bc 2021 wave 1 is available to download for on-prem.  Business Central 2021, is already available for Sandbox creation and via dockers. IN (India) is new localized version is available with 2021 wave 1 (V18). This article provides details of the new release.

But as developers we need access to Next version to be ready for what's changing and how our App Source Extensions and Per Tenant Extension will be impacted with Next Release. Microsoft have released the Preview Environments for #msdyn365bc 2021 Release Wave 1.  You can setup docker containers for next releases or create Sandbox for SaaS Customers to Test and Learn new features.
