MSDYN365BC - Cumulative Update 04 released for Business Central on Prem.

Hi Readers,

Microsoft has released, Cumulative Update 04 for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central on-premises and is available for download.

Details are still not available for download link is available for everyone.


I will post an update in the same article once the details of changes will be available on the Microsoft website.

Platform updates in #MSDYN365BC Cumulative Update 04 -

292836 - Bad performance in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central SaaS sandbox and on-premises with the CAS policy disabled when you use the Report.SAVEAS function.
296623 - The Error message is displayed when you edit in Microsoft Excel for the Custom Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
295526 - Enumeration types do not work with conditional table relations in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
292644 - "Message: (PrincipalOperationException): While trying to retrieve the authorization groups, an error (5) occurred" error message is displayed when a task schedule does not work.
293472 - "Something went wrong. There is a dialog box open in another browser window. You must close that dialog box or sign out." error message is displayed.
288465 - The icon size on the Customization page is sometimes not available.
293462 - Indirect permissions (user and report) are not working as expected.
291246 - The client stops working when you view the timeline from the Item Availability page.
293785 - NullReferenceException with Active Directory Federation Services in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central on-premises and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
296236 - The ShowMandatory property is supported with AL Language.
288493 - "You do not have the following permissions on TableData Record Link: Insert." error message should be displayed when the client displays a red 'X' symbol, but it displays without any error message.
297072 - The Custom Content pages of type *.html are not found when you use F1 to access the help content in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central on-premises.

    Good! How did you find out about it? Do you have a rss feed or have you googled it everyday? I have had some hard time to find a rss feed from microsoft that these have been available.

      Lol but yes its true. There is no RSS Feed from Microsoft for Cumulative Update for Business Central.

      I think that the issue is not as serious.... If you pubish a codeunit as SOAP, the functiosn should be declared as external to be used from a webService. If you are using AL code its isn't a problem, because all the functions that are not declared as local, are external by default:

RTC Report It is not possible to instantiate the Visual Studio bridge.

Hi all, As a Navision developers I have Multiple Versions of Navision running in single Machine. As discussed Earlier in the post how to run multiple Version of RTC in single machine. So my machine have following details for RTC Versions - NAV 2009 R2    - is installed. NAV 2009 SP1  - is copied at C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Dynamics NAV\60\NAV 6.0 SP1 IN\ NAV 2009         - is copied at C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Dynamics NAV\60\NAV 6.0 IN\ This approach has been working great for execution of Classic and RTC Clients.
