MSDYN365BC 2019 Wave 2 - New Product Release Cycle.

Hi Readers,

Microsoft has changed the Product Release Cycle starting Business Central 2019 Wave 2.

Till now Microsoft uses to release Dynamics NAV once every year and we have seen this for the last few years till Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2018.

But with Business Central Microsoft has changed how the product will be released going forward.

Starting Business Central Microsoft started Releasing product in April and October if you see.

In continuation of the same process, Microsoft has already named these releases and will keep on following that going forward.

Microsoft will release two versions (if you want to call that) every year.

The Two releases will be called as Wave 1 & Wave 2.

Wave 1 - will be released in the first quarter every year.

Wave 2 - will be released in the last quarter every year.

Here is planned from Microsoft about future releases.

What about the product lifecycle. We will discuss this in the next article.

Hope you find the information useful.

Hi Readers, As discussed in last article about deprecating of Business Central Administration, there are few common actions that we use in administration till Business Central 20.
