How OAuth Works?

Hi Readers,

With Release of Business Central 20, Microsoft have deprecated usage of Basic Authentication with Business Central Online Version.

OAuth is the Framework that will be used for Connecting to Business Central - Web Services, API or any external integration.

In last #bcopendiscussion we discussed OAuth, not with respect to business central but in general -

  • Is OAuth Authorization or Authentication.
  • What is OAuth Framework?
  • How OAuth is used to Authorize Connection?
  • Scenarios where you would have seen OAuth?
  • Key Players in OAuth Workflow?
  • What is Resource Server and Authorization Server?

If you would like to get answers of these questions, then watch the session recording on YouTube.
