Business Value - 

The status of documents indicates whether they're open, waiting to be approved, have been invoiced for prepayment, or have been released to the next stage of processing. When you finish working on a batch of documents, you can release all or some of them to the next stage in the process or reopen them for further processing, all in one go.

Feature Details - 

  • Open Sales Order Window, Field Status is with Style Expression (as shown below).


  • When you release or reopen multiple documents, a confirmation will show the number of documents that are selected and the number that remain unchanged.

  • Progress is shown during the process of releasing and reopening documents, and if there are errors, they are shown on the Errors Messages page.


  • For Quickly identify documents that are open or released, especially when viewing a list of documents, the Open and Released statuses have different font colors.
    • Released: black bold
    • Open: green bold


Technical Details - 

Functions PerformManualRelease & PerformManualReOpen are changed in Sales Header Table. Now Function use all selected records in the Page (as shown below).


As of today, this feature is available in Sales Order Page only.

NAV 2013 Upgrade Part III - Data Upgrading.

Hi all, As per agenda we need to discuss the data upgrade in NAV 2013. The process is similar to what used to be till NAV 2009 R2 but with some changes. Let's start the process. Remember -  1) You can only upgrade a database to NAV 2013 from NAV 2009 SP1 / R2 SQL Only. 2) The Synchronization of users with SQL Server is no more required.
