NAV 2013 R2 / NAV 2015 - Role & Permission Wizard Updated


Hi All,


This article list down the updates done based on comment on the article "NAV 2013 R2 - Roles & Permission Wizard".

I had received request from some of my readers for minor changes in the tool. I have incorporated all the changes in the tool.

Update 22/08/2015:

- Increased the Size of Role ID to 20 (as of Standard Microsoft Field Size).

- NAV 2015 Compatibility.

- Ability to Save New Role or Update Existing Role.
If Any Permission Set Already Created with Same Name, then the Update process will happen otherwise a new Role Will be Created.

NAV 2013 Upgrade Part III - Data Upgrading.

Hi all, As per agenda we need to discuss the data upgrade in NAV 2013. The process is similar to what used to be till NAV 2009 R2 but with some changes. Let's start the process. Remember -  1) You can only upgrade a database to NAV 2013 from NAV 2009 SP1 / R2 SQL Only. 2) The Synchronization of users with SQL Server is no more required.
