I recently got a chance to Read a Book (thank you, Tobin) on –
Microsoft Dynamics NAV Financial Management.
A Book By - Cristina Nicolàs Lorente & Laura Nicolàs Lorente.
This is the first time i was reading any functional book about Microsoft Dynamics Navision, and if i am not wrong we have very few of these in market.
This book is different from the books that we get from PartnerSource as a partner. The books in PartnerSource target to people who understand the specific business area.
Most of the Books that are available in market are for the Techi's (People like me and most of my readers) and did not focus on how business work in Navision.

This book Points to the basics of Financial Management functionality in Dynamics NAV. If i would say that the target audience are NAV Functional Consultant's that wouldn't be true.
The Target Audience for the book is every consultant who is starting working for NAV (Technical, Functional) and for the end users who use NAV in there Organization.
This book introduce you to basic setups and how they impact on the process.. (like Impact of Payment Terms).
A Geek should also know how system work and Finance is the CORE area. I got clarification on some concepts where i was kind of lost.
Topics covered include the sales and purchase process, managing payments and bank accounts, accounting processes, reporting and business intelligence, budgeting and cash flow management and financial management setup including inter company and XBRL.
If you have started working with Dynamics NAV recently, or if you have a new colleague, I would recommend to read this book.
If you have been around for a few years, you might be able to pick up only a few little things, but it’s still worth going through the book.
