JET REPORT - Menu Introduction.

Hi all,

I was thinking from so long about Sharing my knowledge about Jet Reports.
I will be posting articles about Jet Report from Now on.

So let's start with introduction.

-- For Installation of JET Report (Before NAV 2013) Follow Link.

What is Jet Report?

 Jet Reports is a database querying tool built into Excel.
- An Excel like function that is a Jet Report Database Query.
- The Functions Queries the Database.
- The Query extracts data from the database and returns the results it into the Excel Worksheet.

Below is the Menu of Jet Report in Excel.


we will be covering point 1-5 as per image above.

1 About -
From About Menu you can Check the Jet Version, Build of Jet Reports.



2 Data Source Settings -

From This Menu you can
a. Data Source Type.
b. create New Data Source.
c. set Database.
d. Authentication Mode.

3.Shows your currently Selected Data Source.

4.Shows Company Selected.

5. Application Settings Menu -
From this menu you can set -
a. Path of Snippets Folder.
b. License Path.
c. SMTP Settings (For Emails).
d. Logging Activation and Path.

Hi Readers, We have already talked about the number of steps for upgrading to Business Central on Premises from different NAV versions. After that article, I received multiple requests for an article which list down steps for Data Migration. In this article, we will discuss steps of data migration to MSDYN365BC (on-Prem) from NAV 2017. For this article, I am considering a Cronus Demo Database without any customization.
