Installation Steps of Microsoft Dynamics Navision Developer Toolkit.

Hi all,

Let's see how to install Developer toolkit for Microsoft Dynamics Navision.

This has been discontinued by Microsoft but most of us still requires it during upgrade process.

This is the first step of Upgrade Process.

Download the developer toolkit as per your requirements. You can easily find them in partner source or in Mibuso.

1. Run setup.exe.
2. Click next until you reach the screen shown below.



3. At this point you need to specify the path of License that will be used by developer toolkit and STX file.

4. You will have the license file with you but for STX file browse the same folder where the setup is been kept. The setup contain the STX File.




5. Provide path of both the files and click next.



6. Click Finish.

Developer toolkit have been installed.

We will see how to create a developer toolkit database in another post.

NAV 2013 Upgrade Part III - Data Upgrading.

Hi all, As per agenda we need to discuss the data upgrade in NAV 2013. The process is similar to what used to be till NAV 2009 R2 but with some changes. Let's start the process. Remember -  1) You can only upgrade a database to NAV 2013 from NAV 2009 SP1 / R2 SQL Only. 2) The Synchronization of users with SQL Server is no more required.
